7. Inappropriate bed design
To choose the perfect mattress, it’s important to consider the construction of the body. A bed with a slatted bottom (slats) or a sprung bed is suitable for most traditional mattresses. Modern dense and heavy orthopedic models require a firmer base. To understand what is best suited to a particular mattress, the instructions for the mattress will help.
8. Improper storage
If you want to put your mattress away, first vacuum it thoroughly, then place it in a special protective cover and store it horizontally in a temperature-controlled room.
A garage or basement is not suitable – such conditions can lead to mold and bed bugs, as well as changes in the internal structure of the mattress. Unfortunately, it will then no longer be usable.
