Why your mattress is deteriorating

3. Infrequent cleaning
Dirty mattresses are disgusting. They are real collectors of saliva, sweat and dead skin cells. And that’s not counting dust mites, with some of them even breaking through mattress covers. Therefore, the top and sides of the mattress should be vacuumed every three months.

4. Jumping on the bed
It turns out that our parents didn’t scold us in our childhood for nothing when we jumped on the bed. This not only can lead to serious injuries, but also change the internal structure of the mattress – it will appear bumps. Jumping also weakens the springs and damages the bed frame.

5. Infrequent bedding changes
Pillowcases, sheets and duvet covers collect sweat, dirt and small debris, as well as allergens contained in pet skin cells. Therefore, it is a good idea to change your bedding every week or at least every two weeks. Bedspreads and decorative pillowcases count too.

6. Lack of sunlight
Of course, this is not a flower that vitally needs sunlight. However, periodic exposure to sunlight can improve the condition of your mattress.

Ultraviolet rays kill mold and bacteria, and sunlight serves as a natural household “deodorant” that destroys bad odors.
