Last August, details of the production roadster became known, which will be based on the Polestar O2 concept presented a few months earlier. It will be based on a new aluminum platform (the show car was created on the same platform). As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the novelty will receive an 800-volt system; the installation consists of two electric motors (one on each axle), its total output is equal to 884 hp, and the maximum torque – 900 Nm.
It is assumed that the Polestar roadster will be able to accelerate from a place to a hundred in 3.2 seconds, and its top speed will be limited electronically at 250 km / h. The company has not yet declassified the capacity of the traction battery, but said that the range of the novelty on a single charge is 600 kilometers (when calculated on the WLTP cycle).
Seating formula of Polestar 6 is 2+2. The interior design is made in the traditions of Scandinavian minimalism, and for finishing the company decided to use only environmentally friendly materials. The roadster, as well as the sedan Polestar 5 has no rear glass, but the transparent section of the roof goes behind the heads of the second row passengers.
By the way, it recently became known that the serial Polestar 5 can get a battery, which is charged in five minutes to run more than 160 kilometers. And it is assumed that in 2032 the electric car will need only two minutes.
